During my stay in college, joined extra curricular groups early on. First joined the visual arts group, Freehands Unlimited which had close ties with the Student Publications Office, responsible for publishing the official monthly college newspaper, the Benildean. At first, I wrote as a contributor doing news bits and some creative writing pieces for special issues and annuals such as the Shades of Gray Literary pocket book. It wasn't only until a year later did I officially join the Student Publications Office as a Features Staff writer. As a staff writer, I covered mostly student features, campus events and special interest such as school tie ups with establishments and various student lifestyle related news.
After a year, with the I became a columnist and shortly thereafter took a test for the position of Associate Editor. Aside from overseeing the lay outing and proofreading of the articles and making sure that the college paper was rolled out smoothly every month, I also stood in for public relations duties for both the College Broadsheet and at times the Yearbook office. I stayed active as Associate Editor until I took my Final academic project where I worked in partial capacity mostly doing columns and some proofreading.
After college, I took up freelance jobs proofreading articles and some creative writing for various newsletters and electronic bulletin boards. My first official job was working as a Web Administrator for the Global Training Team/Marketing Services in a multi-national engineering firm. As an Instrument Consultant, I was tasked with checking PowerPoint training modules for errors and publishing them online, at times updating them as per request by our points of contact and or training managers.
In June of 2009, I started a blog; Hallucinogenic Java, where I wrote mostly about Japanese toys and pop culture as well as covering local events that featured Japanese pop culture.
Currently, I am looking to rekindle my love for writing; creative and journalistic, and most likely make a career out of it. I believe that journalism and/or editorial path will be the ideal environment to nurture my creativity and intellect while I, as an indivdual, will be able to do more for the people I will be working with.

* How many years you have been an otaku - I've been into building Gunpla for more than a decade now Though I was introduced to Anime early on through Macross, and Voltes V. It wasn't only until recently that I started collecting figures. Though I still don't see myself as being one.

* Outline of your collection - Initially comprised of Gundam kits and plastic model kits of Militaria and automobiles until a fire razed my home and collection. Recently, I have a good number of poseable figures and Gashapons. A builld queue of Gundam kits and some Plastic models of cars and planes. Also have a dozen or so of PVC figures
* How much your collection cost - A safe estimate would put it in 10's of thousands of USD
* Your fave item - Difficult to say that I have 1 particular favorite item in my collection. If I had to choose one, It would have to be my Dollfie Rin Tohsaka and my MG EX-S Gundam since it was what got me into building Gunpla again.

* Anything else you want to say. - I'm quite thankful that my family and friends for being quite open to my hobbies. Although my family has been at my neck for my spending habits i.e. being that it is excessive, I guess it's safe to say that they're thankful I put my money on that rather than taking to vices. And for the enduring question of why I got in to my hobbies; there are those who get into these hobbies as a way to escape the real world for a short time. While I do tend to share the same moments, they are so to speak, my anchor to reality. That despite how old we grow and how mature we tend to think of ourselves to have become, we always look to our inner child to see that sometimes life doesn't have to be complicated in order for us to be happy, nor does happiness have to be complicated.
